CAPTURE, STORE, AND INFILTRATE
By capturing, storing, and allowing rainwater to infiltrate, the sewer system is relieved during heavy rainfall. The stored water can then infiltrate the soil to maintain groundwater levels or be retained for reuse. We offer various types of drainage channels, drainage systems, and piping systems to collect rainwater. For water storage beneath or beside the field, we use water-retention units such as the AquaMulti Box and JobiCell, or granular materials. Depending on the application, these are combined with a custom waterproof liner to retain water within the construction, or with water-permeable geotextile to allow direct infiltration.
We always consider the shape and location of the installation as well as the geohydrological situation, so we know exactly how quickly the system fills and empties. Additionally, we assess per project which purification options are most suitable, ensuring that only clean water enters the soil.
STORE FOR REUSE
Reusing rainwater on and around a sports field is a smart way to save water and reduce dependence on drinking water. The stored water can be used for irrigating natural grass fields or watering hockey water fields. Want to make an entire sports park more sustainable? The water can also be used to flush toilets in locker rooms or the clubhouse.
For such systems, controlling the water balance is crucial; there must not only be enough water available for use, but also sufficient storage capacity during heavy rainfall. With smart measurement and control technology, we can anticipate rainfall forecasts and adjust the system accordingly.
