SportS X Shock pad
SportS X is a shock pad produced in Europe, made from closed-cell cross-linked polyethylene foam. SportS X is specially developed for artificial turf sports fields with high quality requirements, meeting international and sport-specific standards. Thanks to its closed-cell PE structure, SportS X does not absorb moisture, maintaining consistent sports performance under all weather conditions.
SportS X shock pads are tested and comply with the European EN 15330-4 standard, required for shock pads in artificial turf sports applications, ensuring high quality.
Depending on the system design, SportS X is available in thicknesses from 6 mm to 20 mm and densities between 30 and 100 kg/m³. It is supplied in rolls, with roll lengths adjustable to project specifications.
Certain types are also ideal as shock pads for sports and playground areas where high sports performance standards are not required.
Sports E shock pad
A perfect combination of the right sports-technical properties and high horizontal drainage. With the application of the SportS E shock pad, additional field drainage is unnecessary. This means fewer drainage pipes and faster installation – a cost-saving solution. SportS E is a relatively thick shock pad that offers the perfect balance between sports performance, excellent comfort, and high impact protection.
SportS E is a shock pad manufactured from EPP (expanded polypropylene), a material that provides excellent shock absorption and durability, and is 100% recyclable. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it is water-repellent and retains its shape under pressure, making it ideal for applications such as artificial turf fields. The first sports fields with shock pads made of this material were installed in the early 2000s, and many are still in use today.
Using SportS E beneath artificial turf in regions with regular or harsh winter conditions can reduce the required sub-base thickness. Its above-average thickness and high thermal resistance lead to savings on additional infill material (aggregate) needed to achieve the desired insulation or build-up height.
SportS E is available in 23 mm thickness and, depending on the system design, in densities of 30, 40, and 50 kg/m³. The sheets are easy to install and fit together seamlessly.
SportS E complies with EN 15330-4, the standard required for shock pads in artificial turf sports applications, ensuring high quality.
Field heating
With field heating, a sports field stays perfectly playable even in the middle of winter. Beneath the turf lies a network of heating pipes that keep the soil just above freezing. No hard ground, no cancellations — just continuous play.
The system uses warm water circulating through plastic pipes, often supplied by a boiler, heat pump, or waste heat source. This not only prevents freezing but also promotes grass growth and speeds up recovery after intensive use.
Modern field heating systems are increasingly energy-efficient, with smart controls and sustainable heat sources.
