The functional requirements for sports fields are set. But there’s so much more possible with the field and its surroundings. Take artificial turf, for example, which can get quite warm on sunny days. Why not use this heat for other purposes within the sports park?
Collector Field
The temperature of an artificial turf field can rise up to 70°C. To harness this heat, we install a piping system with a coolant beneath the field. The heat from the turf warms the circulating fluid, which can then be stored or used immediately, depending on the season.
The recovered heat can be used to warm swimming or shower water, heat the clubhouse or sports hall, and even provide energy for nearby homes or buildings.
By extracting heat, the field stays cooler, making it more comfortable for athletes.
A Collector Field, of course, meets all functional and safety requirements set by athletes and regulatory authorities.
